Finished images, which we refer to as cultured, are “influenced” by effects, colors or other enhancements, and are a fusion of the precision of photography and the abstract aspects of various artistic elements. The one commonality in all finished works is they all begin as humble digital photographs.
Our ultimate goal is always an inviting image – to the viewer and to me. An inviting image is one that evokes a past experience or even creates a new one. The use of digital enhancements be they darkroom or something as basic as color, extends the natural appeal of any given perspective and allows the viewer to experience something extra that they might not otherwise have.
This concept is expressed in the notion that although much of my work is regional in content, and many of my subjects are local, the method of expression enhanced by the use of artistic elements is universal and portable.
Thus far our processes have yielded a sizeable library of original limited edition series some examples of which are available for viewing in the Gallery section and main page of this site.
